OUR STORY

From Thamel's Heart to the World

In 1975, in a modest workshop nestled in the bustling streets of Thamel, Kathmandu, Master Artisan Mohan Shrestha began a journey to preserve the dying art of traditional Nepali craftsmanship.

What started as a one-man operation has grown into a thriving community of over 50 master artisans. Today, M Craft stands as a beacon of authenticity in a world of mass production. Every piece that leaves our workshop carries not just the mark of its maker, but centuries of cultural heritage, spiritual significance, and uncompromising dedication to excellence.

We work directly with artisan families across the Kathmandu Valley, from the ancient city of Bhaktapur to the mountain villages of the Himalayas, ensuring fair trade practices while keeping traditional techniques alive for future generations.
